It's going to be a great year at Kershaw School! I met many new students in the past few days- welcome to you all! And welcome back to my "older" students- how wonderful to see you all again. The excitement is really palpable in the hallways of RWK! Let's focus the energy into some incredible learning this year. I am looking forward to teaching all of my classes!
Tech Kids and General Music Kids- have fun "poking around" this website. It's YOUR website- chock full of all kinds of info on projects we will be doing. Maybe you will see some artifacts of work done by last year's students. What if YOUR work was featured on this site? Did you check out the interactive map (globe) at the bottom of the home page? It shows where all the site "hits" are from and how many. That means how many people look at the information on this page. It's really cool!
Band Kids- I cannot wait to get the band started! We have SIXTEEN slots for band lessons this year and Mrs. M is at Rw Kershaw EVERYDAY! Take a peek at my overall schedule. WOW!! That is so awesome- thank Mr. Hunter for this! Students will be assigned to once a week band lessons as a "pull-out" just like last year. "All Band" rehearsals will also rotate through the available periods. We hope to find a spot for a Jazz Band this year. We will do the best to accommodate all within the available periods. It will be a great year!
We are going to meet for the first time on Monday afternoon- you will hear the announcements and see the posters! Sign up for Band, take some info home and then we will start with "preliminary" groups- just a chance to meet and for me to get some info out to you and info in to me. On Sept. 17th our REAL schedule swings into action. The Band is back! We will have an awesome Holiday Concert on WEDNESDAY- December 12th! Check out our Band Calendar.
This blog will be used for class updates, lists of assignments, links to music and technology events in our area and other news from Mrs. Manion's World. It is designed as an aid and may not be up-to-date. It does not replace attention in class.
