This summer Kershaw School saxophone player, Greg Veach, decided not put his instrument away. Instead, he joined the Pitman Hobo Youth Band, Group II, along with his mother, Christine Veach on flute and kept playing all summer long!
This was Greg's second year performing with the Hobos. Mrs. Manion had the pleasure of attending the final concert held at Pitman's Sunset Auditorium, a lovely open air gazebo in the park. Students from throughout the South Jersey region participated in one of two levels of band, assisted by parent and community "mentors." The bands were under the direction of noted music faculty from Rowan University and area schools. They sounded great and the packed house clapped their hands off! RWK alumni, Josiah Bracey also participated on baritone horn. Here are two links to the program for the concert.
