Oh dear! Right on cue, I am suddenly having a bit of trouble thinking about our wonderful music students who are graduating from 8th grade! (Sniff!!) You are such an awesome bunch!
So this is no ordinary graduation veil of tears I am streaming... no way.... this is different this year. Why? Because YOU have survived the "dark days" of the music program, when we went through some very, very tough economic times, as all schools have had recently. Hey, our school did all it could, believe me! You hung in there all the way and helped promote our programs for the younger students- in effect- you SAVED THE PROGRAM! You are the BOMB in my book- all of you! So I THANK YOU ONE AND ALL! And I thank your PARENTS! :)
I want to hear of your musical travels in the future. Where are you going? What are you playing? Are you (suddenly?) practicing? LOL!! I hope we meet again! I am only as far away as my school email address- so let us all know how you are doing in your musical life! Some of you, no doubt, will come back to help in a concert or two- and in advance- I thank you!
Class of 2013 Musicians- both Band and Chorus- Mrs. Egan and I salute you! You are awesome! Enjoy music all your lives! That is the best gift we all have for each other. Trust us on that!
This blog will be used for class updates, lists of assignments, links to music and technology events in our area and other news from Mrs. Manion's World. It is designed as an aid and may not be up-to-date. It does not replace attention in class.
