Three band students won free tickets for one adult and one child to attend this Sunday's Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey's Children's Concert. Congratulations to MK, CS and MH who were eligible for the drawing because of their rehearsal attendance!

The 5th grade technology classes benefited from Mrs. M's coursework through Penn State University. As part of her courses in both Web 2.0 Technologies and Instructional Design, Mrs. M created a unit that focuses on synchronous document editing. The students are put into groups, but are not seated together. They communicate safely via their computers in a passworded environment and are able to chat with each other as well as edit a text document at the same time. It's a useful introduction to Google Apps For Education that the school is considering utilizing next year. And, it's a lot of fun!
This blog will be used for class updates, lists of assignments, links to music and technology events in our area and other news from Mrs. Manion's World. It is designed as an aid and may not be up-to-date. It does not replace attention in class.
